How to make an 8 bit pixelated costume

If you found our previous article about 8-bit illustrations somewhat funny, you should definitely check out this 8-bit costume made by Kiel Johnson and Klai Brown for a Toshiba commercial.

They simply used a cardboard suit structure and glued large sheetsof high density foam to it, so it would give the illusion of “pixels”.The costume is actually a cosplay named “Gary” and it consists ofaround 4000 “pixels”.
Something that can remind of this cosplay are the pixelated 3D sculptures that this other talented artist managed to make.

I decided to do another netbook/older PC OS since they seem to bethe most popular and alot of people still are using older hardware.
This one is called “Perfection” because it simply looks and runs like it. I hope you’ll agree.
Also, in this build I decided to fix a problem that Microsoft and MSI refuse to adress:
The dreaded “Missing CD-DVD Driver/Missing SATA
Driver” during installation.
I slipsteamed the missing drivers into the boot WIM and hopefully corrected that issue.
MSI users: Please post feedback, as I
do not own a MSI to test on.

At first glance, you probably can’t figure out what these insect andanimal sculptures are made of. Believe it or not, they’re constructedout of things you can probably find at your neighborhood flea market.

A flea market is where artist Eduard Martinetgoes every time he needs material for his sculptures. And no, hedoesn’t live in Boca. He uses kitchen pans, car lights, old typewriterkeys, and other other junk sitting around at car boot sales or fleamarkets to build his sculptures. Mr. Martinet has the uncanny abilityto take something rusty and transform it into something beautiful. Hecarefully sculpts every piece after sketching every angle; the wholeprocess takes a great deal of time.

Would you want these in your home or office? Of these creations, which one is your favorite? I personally am a fan of the frog.

An apartment detailed built by using carton

“Casa de Karton” is the name of Don Lucho’sproject where he has built an apartment using carton and paper. Theapartment has all the furniture and other items that a kitchen or abedroom is expected to have. Being in these “carton rooms” will makeyou feel like you’re a part of a drawing.

Beside the house he has also made a car wreck out of carton, and placed it on the street so it looks realistic.
In similarity to this project, another artist made a key card hotel in New York using 200 000 card keys.

City statues decorated in an amusing way

Spanish artist from Madrid that calls himself SpY is creating a different kind of street artthan most people are used to. He is making city statues look a bit moreinteresting by putting a bucket, a paper bag or a ski mask over theirheads, a red clown nose on their noses or a pie in their faces. SpY hasalso managed to give one of the statues red lightning eyes.

Some people call it art while others think it’s some sort ofvandalism, but it’s sure both ironic and comic art that will put asmile on your face.

Making the statues look cheeky is not his only work – hehas turned a tennis court into an abstract field by using duct tape allover in different directions, and he has also used neon light sticks onsome roads to spice it up a bit.

Other ways that fun street art has been made is by painting smart and amusing illustrations that have been seen on the streets and paths of Montreal.

The strategic life-simulation computer game Sims was the main inspiration for French collective Paper Donuts’“breakfast out of paper” photoshoot. The collective decided to use agirl as the Sims character to show what a Sims-breakfast would looklike in real life.

They even put the well-known “green diamond” over her head to indicate that she is in a good mood.
The entire breakfast is made out of paper cut in a way that makes it look pixilated, and it does look very cool, but its taste is rather, shall we say, papery.

McDonald’sfries do begin to float when you let them sit for long periods of time.I’ve witnessed this phenomenon with my own eyes. It may have beenbecause the fries were laced with acid, but that’s a story for anothertime.

Several animal species can easily be considered as true masters of disguise. They have the magnificent ability to melt in with their environment so they almost look invisible. Here you can see pictures of how animals camouflage in nature.
You can barely see the caterpillar on the green leaf, the light brown spider is not visible in the sand, and the green snake is safe on the top of a similar colored tree, and that’s only a few of all the animals that use both color, shape and behavior to melt into the environment as good as possible. Artists Defill and Milcke have put together this cool project which involves moldling various fruits and vegatables into the shape of a Nike Air Max 1 and a Nike Dunk.

Burger Nikes are made up of 8 layers which includes buns, cheese, tomatoes, sauce, mean and more, and yes it’s eatable.

Her work was mentioned in a previous article where she created among others Bob Dylan and Jim Morrison. She started with this kind of art when she pulled out a tape string and it reminded her of Jimi Hendrixcks hair.
